    Description

    GAR, Civil war, Grand Army of the Republic, I W Harper's whiskey Louisville K.Y.. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
    Made to commemorate the National Encampment  of the Grand Army of the Republic only 30 years after the Civil War ended, this bottle would have been purchased, owned and drank out of by someone who fought in that great conflict.
    It stands 6 inches tall.  It has a gold foil label under glass. The glass covering the label is undamaged and unscratched. The bottle has no chips, cracks or scratches.  It has a thin, mostly skinless surface bubble near the neck, this shows in the photo. The label is well preserved with minor areas of contamination, these show in the photos. The cap has most of it's original old cork at the top, and a small dent, this shows in the photos. The cap didn't leave the glasshouse unfinished brass and would have had a nickle/silver plating over it.
    A different version of this bottle was also made but it had a white paper label under glass with minor differences to the label art.  This gold foil version was the best available.
