Woman seriously injured after being struck by driver of vehicle in Scarborough

A woman was transported to hospital with serious injuries after being struck by the driver of vehicle in Scarborough, Toronto police said. 
Police responded just after 3 p.m. on Saturday in the area of Lawrence Avenue East and Marcos Boulevard.
Police said Toronto paramedics treated the female pedestrian’s injuries on scene before transporting the her to hospital.
The driver remained on scene, according to police. 
Police added there are eastbound closures on Lawrence Avenue East and drivers should expect delays.
